Covid19 has motivated innovations all around the world, and here at Audio Authority our Engineering Department stopped everything to develop a small proximity sensor for public facing controls. Originally developed for use in consumer electronics stores, this sensor has inspired many other applications, including this “doorbell” modification here at our front door. Our new security system requires each visitor to be “buzzed in” so why not make it a touchless interaction? We installed the sensor where the call button is usually located, and applied some instructions, just in case the visitor missed the little hand symbol on the sensor. The result was a user friendly improvement to our lobby entrance, and a little advertisement for our latest invention as well.
